How the planner reads a craft
The calculator keeps the formula visible: selected ores become a weighted multiplier, the largest material share becomes the main material, and trait progress is shown against the public 10% and 30% thresholds.
Average multiplier
Each ore contributes its multiplier times quantity. The total is divided by all selected ores.
Craft band
Total ore count selects a likely item range. Exact output remains RNG-based, especially between optimal counts.
Trait thresholds
Trait shares show whether a material identity is below 10%, active at 10%, near 30%, or active at 30%.

How many ores can I use in The Forge?
A craft needs at least 3 total ores, and a mix can contain up to 4 different ore types. This planner caps inventory suggestions at 51 total ores for weapons and 45 for armor.
Does The Forge calculator predict the exact item?
No. Total ore count identifies a likely weapon or armor range, but the exact item remains RNG-based.
How is the ore multiplier calculated?
The planner multiplies each ore's multiplier by its quantity, adds those contributions, and divides by the total ore count.
